People from SC Foundation, together with MetroNews Radio, San Francisco, are planning the first annual coast-to-coast AIDS RADIOTHON, to be broadcast 9-11 months from now and every year thereafter.
THE AIDS RADIOTHON will educate the public about the history of HIV infection and the research already done, safe sex prevention, HIV symptoms, early stages of infection, living with HIV, living with AIDS, new treatments that are working and those that aren't, research aims for the future.......
Researchers, nutritionists, AIDS educators, prevention program specialists, PWA's (People with AIDS), care providers, directors of youth programs, innovative treatment programs and others will be interviewed.
THE AIDS RADIOTHONS will raise money for participating, co-sponsoring AIDS organizations throughout the country, sign-up volunteers to work in AIDS prevention, education and care and provide information and resource referrals to those calling special toll-free 800 numbers.
